About EuroCharity
With a mission of making a world of difference, EuroCharity is a values-based, internationally-run, socially-responsible and environmentally-active company that owns, publishes and daily updates www.eurocharity.org -- the reference point for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and the green economy.
Founded in 2006 and headquartered in Athens, EuroCharity strives to bridge the communication gap that exists between the business world and citizen sector across Europe.
Among many other activities, EuroCharity is involved in:
- Promoting its members far and wide -- both on-line and off-line;
- Publishing English-language as well as local language content at www.eurocharity.org;
- Publishing fortnightly electronic newsletters;
- Publishing the annual EuroCharity Yearbook;
- Organising monthly 'Members-to-Members' meetings at the offices of EuroCharity's members;
- Co-organising the annual CEO & CSR Conference;
- Conducting research on CSR, the citizen sector and the green economy on behalf of governments, corporations, non-governmental and citizen-sector organisations organisations.
- Building partnerships with media, business world and citizen-sector organisations locally, regionally, European-wide and internationally.
In addition, EuroCharity pro-actively supports -- and often participates in (as speakers, exhibitors, media partners, committee members or otherwise) -- local, national, European and international conferences, events, awards, competitions and campaigns that focus on raising awareness on a number of pressing and important issues related to CSR, the green economy, business excellence, socially-responsible investment (SRI), ethics, philanthropy, clean technology, (green) innovation and entrepreneurship, competitiveness, fair trade, accountability, transparency and corruption, migration and immigration, climate change, environmental protection, renewable energy, energy conservation and energy efficiency, the citizen sector, etc.
With a rapidly-growing international readership and membership base, EuroCharity pro-actively promotes best practices, is involved in a growing number of hard-needed citizen-sector activities and initiatives, participates in CSR and tree-planting campaigns, etc.
As a catalyst for change, EuroCharity is currently expanding throughout Europe via local partners, networks and organisations, with the ultimate aim of being Europe's reference point for CSR and the green economy.
At the end of each fiscal year, EuroCharity donates 25% of its total invoiced membership fees in order to fund specific citizen-sector organisations and not-for-profit projects.
